We've been cooking our dinners for a while now. Nothing fancy, just some stir-fry chicken with vegetable of choice and brown rice (can you spell H-E-A-L-T-H-Y?)

But for yesterday, we went a lil "posh" (in our standards la) and cooked steak for dinner.
Now, you gotta know that both of us are amateur cooks (the word "cooks" is being used loosely here) and what we have been doing in the kitchen are all by instincts only.

"How to cook the chicken?" *BAM! cincai sitr fry on the pan*
"How much salt to put?" *BAM! pinches some salt onto pan*
"Should I turn the chicken over now?" *BAM! chicken pieces are (by luck) delightfully browned*

You know the drill. But if all fails, we called for help (eg : Sean's mom hehe)

The steak turned out to be quite alright actually. Paired with 2 side dishes - some stir-fried vegetables and sweet potatoes -our dinner looked pretty nice. :)

... just Google. Seriously, just like a while ago ... my newly bought (not so new but still kinda new lah) decided to go crazy with me.

I've the CISS system installed with my unit when I bought it at the PC Expo few months ago - and after printing for awhile, the ink level indicator decided to go "Okay, I think your ink is running low"

I ignored the warning for awhile and continued printing... that is until the printer stopped with a messaged popped on my screen.

"Your black ink is empty. blablablabla" and the ONLY option is to cancel printing.

#facepalm#

So to truncate the story, I managed to find a solution online - despite knowing that the "solution" isn't actually for my printer's model. But I tried anyway.

So yeah, if you're a noobie like me who panicked when the ink level went nuts, here you go :

To reset the ink level of MP 258 with CISS system - just hold the "Black button" (next to the Color button) and also "Stop/Reset" button simultaneously as shown in the figure below.

See, make your life easier right?

So, if you stumbled upon this post when you're googling "How to reset ink level MP 258 CISS system" and not having to go through the trouble of skimming tru several websites - You're Welcome. (che wah, bangga betol)

If my so called solution doesn't work for you, then sorry lah. You may continue googling. heeee.

So I have baked again in the past weekend.

The end products were a little off o\in the taste department but overall they were good.
Well, my judgement was based on the fact that all 12 egg tarts were mauled by Sean (who ate 4 or 5) and my brother who ate almost the equal amount. That, or they just give face to me lah -.-

But I choose to believe the former hehe.
Anyhow, I guess it will be a while for me to bake again. I'm currently trying to get fit and avoid pastries or generally foods that are labelled unhealthy (by my Ministry of Food and Exercise).

AhhhhH~ It has been a while, hasn't it?

Done and over with my 3rd year as a university student.

I had quite a fruitful semester break this time, from travelling up north to Penang island with a bunch of friends to visiting Sean's family at Kuantan and finally to south and out-of-Malaysia.. Singapore!

I didn't take many photos during my holiday trips this time, unlike my past experiences where I snapped almost anything... ANYTHING..seriously. I guess my camwhoring period has passed -____-

Penang trip was quite relaxing actually as we spent most of our time eating our hearts out. But it was quite tiring on the first day itself - we travelled all the way there RIGHT AFTER our last paper. Hah, adventurous people we are.

We had a surprise early birthday celebration for Irene.

After Penang trip, I was really drained although I did nothing much but eat and eat :P

Guess it must be the accumulating stress from the finals. The days after the trip were spent with me lazying around the house, watching tv, surfing the net, PLAYING SIMS 3, and basically bumming around. Hehe.

But I got bored eventually. -___________________-

Fortunately, my trip to Kuantan was up next.

:D Happy betol. This time, Sean brought me to climb the rocks at TC to get to Bay2.

But the end result was satisfying.

That once a close friend of mine is already gone. And it finally struck me today as I looked at the photos of his.

I don't know why this realisation only comes today, maybe because we have grown apart prior to that or even that we have not met each other for a few years.

The memory of our gathering at McD is getting bleak as time goes by.
I don't remember what we were talking about, nor how did we manage to pull of the gathering at such a late notice.

One thing I remember is that you were your oldself at that time. Chatty and a lil tai ko feel.
And at that time, the thought of that gathering being the last never crossed my mind.

I still remember that you called me out of a sudden one day, at that time I was holding my guitar.

In the midst of our conversation, my guitar strap broke and the guitar flung onto the floor.

I laughed out loud while you questioned me why.

It has been quite a while since you passed, I have been feeling nothing - call it denial if you like - but I just like to think that we are only not meeting up.

This isn't supposed to be a super emo post rather, a post to remember a friend who was once dear to me.

We had our fun times together, although we stopped contacting each other for quite a long time after that. Not to mention the surprise that I got when he told me the "news" on MSN along with the things that happened afterwards.

I hope you're doing fine wherever you are now.
Maybe we'll meet again next time, next life. :)

I just came back from a short trip to Sean's hometown for his dad's birthday...and boy, it was at its usual awesomeness.

I don't think I've gotten hungry (except for one short while before dinner). Like seriously, after reaching Kuantan, his mom prepared (my super favourite) asam laksa with added fish in the soup. OMGWTFBBQBEST.

Then we gobbled down some kuih before going to the birthday dinner.

Too bad we were only there for only 3 days. :(

But then, if stay there too long - I'll return home bulat bulat hahhaha.

Lately, I've been busy - with studies and some other happy things and also not so happy ones.

One subject in this semester requires us to model something of our choice using the NX software - something that is pretty much alien to me although I've been toying around with Solidworks (another CAD software). So we gotta crack our heads trying to figure out how to use the software to complete our 3D model by the end of the semester.

The assignments pulak have been piling up... while I've yet completed 2 lab experiments and also 2 pending lab reports. *pulls hair*

On a quite happy note, SK gave birth to 7 puppies last week! It should've been a great news but everything went downhills as the puppies died one by one.

Cute :P

2 died on the first day and it was even more heartbroken when 3 died on the second day.

I would've named you Brownie if you lived. :(

When I was back in KL to attend classes on Monday, Mom called to tell me that another one died. T_T

There is only one puppy left though and I have only been updating on the pup and SK's status via sister and mom back at home. Hopefully, both will be healthy and live long :)

And then something terrible happened 2 days ago.

As some of you may not know, parking inside the uni campus requires a valid parking sticker which will be awarded to lucky students through a process called balloting. It's like a lucky draw la.

So, I finally got my parking sticker this semester and was elated beyond words.

That was until...2 days ago when my tires (or tyres.. I'm aware of the spelling difference) got punctured by some assholes in the campus. Dahla kena pay RM100 to park in the campus. It's a long story so I'm not gonna go into details la.

I'm incredibly indebted to the 2 people who helped me. Sean (for changing the tires. Super love you) and CT (who drove to petrol station to inflate the tyre and then to the tyre shop).

Not to mention, a million thank yous to those who offered to help. You guys have no idea how touched I was to know that I'm surrounded by friends who care T_T

Now, on another happier note - Sean and I have been attempting to cook at my place for dinner for the past 2 days. Mind you that we're not the best cooks around.

All we did were : prepare the ingredients - chop things that needed to be chopped using my small knife and cutting board, season with the salt or kicap to taste, toss everything into the pan and wait for them to cook. LOL. If anything doesn't go right, we call for help (eg : his mom hahaha).

So far, our dinners have been quite oklah. Need some improvement but then, won't die (or cirit birit) from eating - and that's good enough for me lol.

Oh hai!!!!

Happy Chinese New Year. Yeap, I'm still in the festive mood although I'm back to KL now. I'll be back in Klang tonight for Hokkien prayers - so ... MORE FIREWORKS!!!

This year's celebration has been quite enjoyable to say the least - family gatherings were awesome and our usual ang pow collecting session was pretty chaotic - just the way I like it.

The previous year has been quite solemn, no "attacking" the ang pow givers, not much of yelling "KIONG HEE HUAT CAI!" - but I'm happy that this time felt a lil like back when I was a kid who was very excited over the Chinese New Year. I guess I'm hearing the bells again =)

So, as usual - this year's schedule has been quite packed with family gatherings. Couldn't join friends' gatherings so I'm really sorry if I turned down your invitation >.<

Now, I guess it's pictures time!

I'm just done showering after cleaning my room.

Handed in my industrial training report and got over with my presentation in the afternoon.

I have more free time now. Seriously.

Anyway, I'm kind of half zombified from sleeping late from rushing my report and presentation slides but I can't sleep now because my hair is still wet so I'm just gonna scramble for photos of my recent happenings and call it a day (this sentence danm long I know wth).

Gotten involved in Ice Breaking for Orientation Jan 2011 batch.

It was a blast! Got to know many awesome people and I'm glad to be in such a team that is both dedicated and playful. Hhahha. I think we had too much fun during the trial for the games.

And the turnout on the actual day was quite good - more than I expected.

And I was splashed with water even before my game starts lol *revenge*

Unfortunately, I couldn't celebrate Sean's birthday due my commitment to the event. Poor boy was quite emo lol.

So, I did the usual birthday surprises ( usual - because I surprised him last year), only this time - it's 4 days late. Haha

We did had a joint birthday celebration (Sean and 2 of his friends) with his bunch of friends at Luna Bar (which is expensive but got a lot of guai lous).

So back to my surprise story... I had him believing that his presents were the e-card and e-present that I sent him over the email on his actual birthday.

Being a persistent person that he is, he kept bugging me to "reconfirm" that those e-presents were indeed the real deal.

"Ok ok, I ask you one last time.. to confirm.. to make myself seisam (err, give up in Canto)... so my presents are the e-card and e-vouchers??" <-------------- His one last time is actually the 7th time.

And being the persistent person that I rarely am, I didn't give in la. MWHAHAHAHA.

In the end, I surprised him at Tony Romas with his present.

Sick fella still eating ribs. Actually I kinda forced him to dine at Tony. Long story la.

Unfortunately, the week after our lovely meal at Tony Romas was spent with him falling sick with high fever and me taking care of him.

As for this week, my new semester has recommenced - so I'm back to attending classes and try to not fall asleep during lecture. Wish me luck though.

On a totally unrelated but exciting note, CHINESE NEW YEAR is next week!! :-D

Discounts is the way to do it

So the other day, I bought (for the first time) 2 GSC vouchers worth RM 13 each for RM 3 each. :D

We went to retrieve the vouchers at Bangsar Shopping Complex - a lil hassle but wthla, RM 3 leh!!!!

Then we proceeded to One Utama to watch movie - and specifically looked for those expensive movie... you know why?? RM 3 only leh!!! Hohohohoh

So in the end we chose to watch Narnia after considering the original price ( Rm12 each) and the movie time ( 2 hours - mmhmmm, longest movie time in the list).

:-D While we were in our seats (which by the way is not bad at all), we were grinning from ear to ear because we only had to fork out RM 6 to watch RM 24 worth of movie for two.

I am gonna watch out for discounts on those websites from now on.

Screw being cheapskate! =D

4 days late but what the heck~

2010 has been fairly good to me in all aspects, so I'm pretty contented. Hehe

Just like the year before, I've meant to put up the memories in the means of photos to reflect how has the year been to me - but then, I've gotten lazy in the end, just like the year before too. Hehe

I have no specific resolutions set up. Mainly coz I don't see myself actually working towards them - I'll just move with the flow la kan? See what 2011 brings to me.

Last day of work

It is 3.16pm now, on my very last day of work as a trainee.

I'm feeling a little melancholic now though, mix in a pinch of sadness from having to leave this place.
So, pardon me if I'm being sappy all of the sudden.

Maklumlah, work here for 3 months already - there will be an inevitable attachment to this very workplace of mine. Plus, my colleagues have been nothing but nice and helpful. My heavy-coffee-drinker supervisor is awesome - and I'm not saying this in hopes to get some extra credit or appraisal for my meagre work. All in all, I have a nice experience here.

Although I gotta admit, it wasn't what I had in mind in the first place - my initial thought revolves around having to deal with Solidworks, technical drawings, machine inspections and such and the things I did strays too far for all those.

But then, like I said - beh pai lah :D

In addition, I've got to know many others from other departments and even neighbouring companies who are equally friendly. Without them, I would have to eat my lunch alone - which is kinda depressing to do for 3 months.

So I'm wrapping up my industrial training, coincidentally my first corporate working experience. After this, I'm back to the ol' university life again.

I was reading tru the posts in my previous blog (the one before this) and recollection of memories from my previous semesters with my coursemates made me think of the crazy times we spent.

Some aren't here anymore (no lah, they're not dead - CHOI - they went to flight school) while some are almost always MIA. I shamefully admit that I fall to the latter part but then, the urge to go back hometown (not to drink milk pls lol) and generally being lazy has permitted me to skip classes most of the time.

My lecturer who came to visit just went back an hour ago.

The visit lasts only about 15 minutes with most of the talking done by my supervisor and lecturer. Hehe so I just sat there and nod profusely.

That being said, less than 3 weeks and I'm done being a trainee.

Mixed emotions but my anticipation over the less-mundane university life is overshadowing my solemnness of having to leave this routinal life. I guess I've gotten used to having a routine of waking up early, walking to office from the LRT station with music blasting in my ears, and spending my time in front of the computer mindlessly and pooof, balik.

....

Nehhhh I guess soon enough I'll be complaining about how sucky university life is.

So, Im not gonna think about all these and I shall enjoy movie after work!~!

For the first time since the implementation of online unit registration,

No incessant punching at the F5 button,
No hair-grabbing moments because the damn server is too lag,
No staring at blank screen and the word "Loading.." at the bottom on the browser window,
No foregoing breakfast because of one pathetic subject that is yet to be registered after 312412 minutes,

No... NOTHING.

For the first time, I was done with my registration in 8minutes (5minutes actually, if I didn't try to register my Process Control subject twice).

And, for the first time - well done UTAR.
It's about time (albeit you took a while to figure out how to arrange the registration time to avoid server breakdown / to get a better server host), that you handle this matter well enough.

Now, I'm not asking much - please well in other aspects as too... i.e better parking system and please don't screw the good lecturers away.

The only downside from this???

No interesting newsfeeds on Facebook. :=P I shamefully admit that I kinda miss that.

It's December already! The final month before 2010 wraps up. Which means I'm gonna end my internship soon.

The chocolate that my colleague gave me after she was back from her honeymoon. The fine print reads, "Never refuse an adventure". Hmmmmmm	.

So the other day I was back home during the weekend and SK was (as usual) blocking the front door and dozed off like a pig. Then I decided to snap some photos of her, because she has gotten huge and lying down makes her look even bigger. :P But I still sayang her very much la ahhaah

This is when she realized that I was taking her photo.

First off, pardon my weeks of absence here.
These few days has been very much routine... but I'm not complaning la.
At least I have things to do at work. And when I have things to do, time passes incredibly fast.

Almost everyone in my department is occupied with their meetings. While I'm busying myself with some assigned tasks..

So, the remaining 20 minutes was spent with waiting frantically to log into my uni portal. >.< Few attempts went fruitless, manatau there's an express link to check my results.

No photos to attach here, mainly cause I was too stressed out to whip out my phone when the KESAS peronda changed my tire.

Heh, so ... I was on my way back home from Kota Kemuning when I heard a sudden loud noise from the back of my car.

I stopped to check and found out the back tire has gotten flat.

Called Sean but he was taking his shower, then called my dad to rescue me.

Then there was this indian uncle on a motor who stopped to offer me help. Of course, I have to be cautious of this random gesture.

He kept insisting on helping me despite me telling him that I've called my dad and that he's on his way here.
The uncle kept asking where my dad was at that time and even asked for my dad's number.

=.=|||

After a brief but annoying rounds of turning down his offer, I was so agitated by having to repeat myself with my almost non-existing voise (got sore throat) that in the end I kinda scolded that uncle.

I'm apologetic if he's genuine to help but then, I must be cautious ma. Who knows he wanted to extort money from me after changing the tire.

So to cut the story short, KESAS peronda came to rescue (although I was hesitant to let then help me at first hehe) and Sean came not long after that.

So girls, if you happen to have flat tire on the road - call the respective highway peronda for help or someone you know. Although some people are really kind to offer help, but we must be alert of anything amiss.

As for guys, change the tire yourself la. LOL

I've not nothing special to update coz I'm currently undergoing my industrial training. Can't include details due to possible confidentiality issues (slim chance but I don't wanna get kicked out from my program later).

Okla, I'll tell you a secret - I went to gent's washrooms today all in the name of completing a task given. Hahahahah. Not bad not bad. Went to all the departments too with my department's secretary. By the time we were back in office, my feet were killing me already. Ohwell, at least I have something to do. hehe

So basically, I've endured two days of being an intern. So far so good.

11 weeks plus to go!!!

On an unrelated note, my sister is back today!!! Woohoo. 3 months abroad in UK - I don't know if I can recognize her or not ( i.e either she has gotten too chubby or too slim). I'll only be back home on Saturday :(

Clubbing time

Nolah, I am actually studying and not at some club “doosh-ing” my head off.

The reason of why I’m staying up so late to study is that I know I’m just gonna study half as much if I were to do my revision in the day. My biological clock has gone abit cuckoo coz I’m sleeping at 4 (I’ll prolly stay up till 5 this time) and waking up at noon.

So, Sean has been calling my studying time as clubbing time instead because that is about the hours people sleep and get up when they go clubbing. But sadly (actually not so sad because I'm not a clubbing kaki), my kind of clubbing doesn't involve any fancy footwork or mabuk-cucuk-langit moves in a heavily music dosed environment. Mine is just sitting in front of the computer (while pressing F5 at facebook homepage to see any updates) and hoping to chomp off some bits of info from the notes laying on the table and straight to my brain. Which sadly again, isn't going very well.

You see, my level of coherency is going down again..similar to the blabbering entry I posted awhile back and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that I am actually outta my mind as I'm typing all these.

Nothing serious, just the occasional pattern of insanity from not grasping the details that I've been trying to register in my head for the past few hours.

Concurrent engineering? Basic EOQ models? Anyone?

As devastating as it may sound, the stress hasn't got to me yet. In fact, the total opposite is happening - I'm relaxing wayyyy too much.

So Imma end this post abruptly to truncate the torture that you have to go through from reading all these crap. And I applaud you for being able to go so far - despite little hope that you'll understand cryptic messages I'm trying to convey which is none.

Had a family gathering last Saturday but didn't get to really play with lanterns because I had no mood then T_T

Kids nowadays don't play lanterns already huh?? I was the only one feeling excited to light up the lanterns while others were busy playing candles... *potong*

So, today Sean and I planned to celebrate Mid Autumn festival by lighting up lanterns.

We went to pasar malam to buy candles and went back home only to realise that we have no lanterns.

HAHAHA, so in the end - it's candles time!!!

My first paper is due in about 24 hours time. It's 142pm now, at this time tomorrow...I'll be sitting in a freezing cold examination hall, amongst many others who are as unprepared as I don't hope to be but usually falls into that sad category due to some laziness disease, and I'll be scolding myself for wasting my time on the internet and television.

I know, I might have lost my mind by now.

Like many others, I am as stressed if not more by the amount of things I need to revise. And the lack of time and additional stresses don't help either. Every now and then, I fall into the slack pit hoping to somehow find my way back into the hardworking train that has somehow left me quite long ago. Judging by the incoherency of my sentences, yes.. again I'm telling you, I am losing my mind.

But I'm gonna see past this ordeal that I face every 16 weeks. Because, this is what I have to go through to get a decent result in my degree. And to achieve that, bitching about how hard it is and hoping to just give up will be plain ... sad? (Though I have to admit, I do complain alot.. lol, ha..... sad...)

A week of holiday after my finals will be the beginning of my 12-week internship which I hope to go out and finally hang out with my long lost friends. And after my internship ends, I will have another week of holiday before I busy myself with the orientation preparation that I got myself involved with. I'm not complaining, it has been a while since I last got so active.

So now, I have to switch to another desktop to view the e-book of Control Engineering and also have a look at the solution files that I downloaded into THAT computer.

LOL. Yeap, this is mommy dog curled up like a huge fur ball.

It's raining as I'm typing this so she's cold outside and I can't bring her in. All in all, everything has been good.

She's back home already, after my dad gave her a thorough shower. And the first day she's back, we had to keep her in the car porch and not to let her wander around.

Her return was welcomed by other neighbours as well, mostly because when she was a stray - the neighbours fed her as well. She is, like I've said before, AMAZINGLY obedient. WTH. But she was a lil agitated to be locked up like that on the first day especially when her boyfriend is on the other side of the gate.

Speaking of which, she is superbly manja as well. Kept wanting people to pet her. And now I think she understands when I say "SIT", or she knows that I'll only pet her if she sits wth.

Anyway, she's sleeping now and occasionally she's give me her puppy look and I'll stop my revision halfway just to pet her. =.=|||

A brief but superbly happy update!!!

The mommy dog is back!!

Today, my dad, bro and I went to the Klang Dog Pound at Northport to retrieve her back.

Went looking for the place for about an hour and my dad's keen eyes spotted the dog pound that is hidden in a very remote corner amongst the factories.

To cut things short, she's now at my aunt's place for a few days while we get the licensing done. Then she'll be back home for good :D :D :D

So now, I shall resume to my studies which are put to halt since yesterday night. =.=|||

I hope they didn't put you to sleep and someone kind will adopt you as soon as possible because although we call you siaokao and sometimes you drive us nuts (please don't put your pups in the drain again), you are one of the most obedient dog I've ever seen.

I will miss seeing you crawling out from under the car when I whistled for you.

And also keeping bits of chicken bones just for you. Or even rummaging tru the fridge when we have nothing to feed you.

I'm sorry that I was so helpless when the MPK people caught you and thrown you into their van.

Most of all, I'm sorry that we can't save you or be the ones to adopt you.

I wish to see you on our street again. :) I really do.

As for Genting, I didn't get to take many photos - mainly coz I was halfdead there. Nevertheless, I had so much fun there. Awesome time with awesome people. :D Had my first experience at Genting casino although I didn't gamble hoho.

On the morning after my birthday, I logged onto my Facebook and saw this :

On a totally random note, I was browsing through racks of clothes at NICHII while waiting for my friends to finish watching Inception 2-3 weeks ago.

Boy, the clothes there are pretty expensive huh. Not to mention their clothes size being really odd.

This is size M. Which doesn't fit me. No, size S is a history already.

So, this must be a mistake =.=

And if you're a friend in my FB, you oughtta see my status updates on puppies!

Although, none of them are mine coz the mommy dog is a stray in our neighbourhood.

But we took care of the pups pretty well and feeding the mommy dog everyday to ensure the pups have ample milk supply lol.

Can you say cuteness OVERLOAD?!

This is where they stay. Someone put up a shelter for the pups to sleep.

But every now and then, the mommy dog will go cuckoo and put the pups in the drain where

we can't reach.

=.=||| I rescued a pup from the drain the other day, and returned it to the dog ... but the stupid dog put the pup BACK into the drain. Omg. DLmax.

Anyhow, bad things has happened recently.

An old auntie from my next door passed away few days ago.

Her passing came as a total surprise to me because despite noticing her frail exterior when I saw her a few days before her demise, she looked quite fine to me. :( I guess life is unpredictable.

And her last words to me were "Oh, you come back already ah?"

So, her funeral was attended by many people. Outsiders who didn't know about the puppies living at the shelter at the football field in my area.

The pups can walk now, albeit stumbling very often. And one morning, we were told that 2 puppies died from getting hit by a car. The person driving it insisted to park near the shelter despite told not to do so. Argh.

In the end, 3 pups died (we though it was two until we saw 3 fly-infested bodies in the shelter) and the mommy dog didn't know that they are dead.

Now, there are only 3 puppies left (one missing) and they are super fat. Will record a video of their super cuteness whenever possible.

That aside, I made a scrapbook for Sean as anniversary gift.

Everything was made from scratch. You know what I mean, and by that I don't mean I made the papers etcetc.

Didn't manage to take photos of the pages I put together.

And this is the early stage of planning each and every page.

Took me quite some time to finish all the 20plus pages.

And out of super randomness.

The surprise and my birthday.

I shouldn't be doing this actually - blogging while having to meet the deadline for my solidworks (which I'm still pretty clueless on how to model the clock spring amongst many other problems) this Thursday and also for my Matlab test this Friday that I have yet touched on.

Not to mention, I was up late for my "side project" for a few nights already. Who knew pasting and layering colours and textures would be so time consuming? :-S

But it is all worth the time and effort. Hahah, to those who knows what I'm talking about, I have yet given the receiver the promised parcel. Although I did not make any promises in the first place, and it is supposed to be a surprise. Guess I had too many things on hand that I couldn't finish it on time. But fret not, by the time he gotten his hands on his belated anniversary gift - he would probably still have not read this entry. ^^

P.S : Boy, now you know that I DID get you something for our special day!! Haha, so much for your disappointment eh?

Anyhow, I celebrated my birthday twice this year. Once at Yuen's steamboat with my lovely coursemates - one of them who was leaving for flight school so I thought it was a farewell dinner until the birthday cake came out suddenly while I was busy snapping photos. >.<||| Thanks guys! :D

Then, on the eve of my birthday, my man brought me to a Japanese restaurant at One World Hotel knowing that I love Japanese food. I gotta say, the portion is HUGEEE. Rm35 per bowl with overflowing sashimi is totally worth it. I almost burst my belly when I finished my bowl.

Again, I can't thank him enough for the surprises he threw - although he would cannot tahan and then tell me the surprise itself prematurely. Hahahah. :-P My kuasa merajuk tiada tandingan!

Which brings to the next supposed "surprise" on my actual birthday itself. Sean along with three of his hometown friends and I went to Genting. :-D It was fun but I fell sick that day. Prior to Genting, my man and I went to The Curve for a movie. And that is when my stomach started to feel weird. Needless to say, I vomited all my food AFTER forcing myself to eat some of Kim Gary's cheese-baked rice I ordered.

I was having fever, upset stomach and I had no idea why I was so sleepy. But, after 2 tablets of ActiFast I was well again for a while. Sigh. BUT!! The trip was awesome - my first time in the casino but I didn't gamble though.

Like the years before, my birthday this year is equally awesome if not better. :D Thank you everyone for the wishes via wall posts, text messages and even phone calls! I appreciate each and every wish I got. Again, thank you.

One year older? Neh, isn't that bad. :D

Uni Tak Ada Ruang

It's raining so heavily now so I can't watch How I Met Your Mother on Astro. Bleh~

For the past 2 or 3 weeks, I spent more time in Klang than I did in my humble room in KL.

Which is a good thing - more time at home = more time with family = more time with Sean = +overall happiness.

But at the same time, I've been slacking more and my determination to study is slowly wearing off T_T. DAMN IT. And being in Klang doesn't permit me the time go out with friends all the time.

Things will be slightly different this week onwards though.

Sean and his housemates (hometown friends too) are going back to Kuantan on this coming Thursday and I'm a bit sad that I can't tag along with them ... I have a midterm on the following Monday and assignments are piling up. T.T I miss TC, Rubyzai and Crystalpoh.

:-( Ohwell, studies > TC.

Then I will most probably travel to KL on Sunday night rather than my usual Monday morning because of the crazy-ass time I have to leave Klang in order to be able to park my car LEGALLY...which is about.. 6am? Damn it.

Speaking of which, the parking situation in my university is getting bad.

Limited parking spaces in the uni compound (which, majority of the spaces at Sblock are unoccupied most of the time) and the residents of TBR are getting pissed at car parked illegally.

And last week, DBKL came in few tow trucks and towed away cars that were parked illegally - most of the cars I assume belong to students.

And my usual parking spot is in danger as well.

Sigh.

Anyway, it's frustrating with the parking system in my uni but I shall not dwell so much into this matter.

This is probably one of my longest hiatus from reading non-academic books ever since I started a few years back. Not that I have many books in my pocket...in fact, the most I read was 2years back when I was sucked into that whole Twilight craze.

They were quite a good read - nevertheless, I shamefully admit that I was so into the books that I even slept late (at around 3-4am) and even brought them to restaurants to steal some time toread during dinners. Sadly to say, I don't share the same passion for the movie adaptation as I have for the books. Robert Pattinson? meh... Kristen Steward?? meh meh...Taylor Lautner? okla, he isn't that bad.

Anyhow, life's been pretty good for me. Family-wise (not that I have those major family crisis), friend-wise (though I haven't been contacting with most of my high school friends =.=) and also relationship-wise (sweet and dandy sial :D )

Academic on the other hand isn't going so well, mainly coz my classes are a few hours apart and that usually means that I'll be sacrificing the unfortunate-one-hour class. Which I am actually doing right now lol

I won't be going into details about my life now though. Later you'll get those TMO moments which sometimes I dread when I see people share too much info about themselves..but at the same time I wanna kepo also wth. So, for the kepo-ers out there, sorry la. Privacy issues.

And I don't think my family and the bf will enjoy the amount of exposure if I were do tell-all posts. So, I guess you're stuck with my narcissistic posts which you won't enjoy so much because of the absence of photos.

But...ohwell, I am in one of those days where I feel like talking only.

And oh!!!

Here's something that Sean once told me (after a few months of knowing me)

Fuhhh, I had quite a good 30-minute workout. 30 minutes aren't much for some people but those 30 minutes are good enough for me. It has been a long long time since I last perspired so much.

I spent almost the entire night trying to fall asleep. But to no avail, was tossing and turning and looking at the time, and gasping at how many hours left before I have to get up for morning class.

Manatau that morning class is cancelled - but I had quite a good time listening to my friend telling us about his trip to Phuket.

On another note, I've been locking myself in my room most of the time today- not because I emo lah. The main reason is that I want to familiarise myself with my new room and most of all new environment. My goodness, my new room is kinda big eh?

And from seeing you almost every day to only a few times a week needs some getting used to.

Hmm.

I wonder what this new semester going to be like.

The outcome is alright. I am overall satisfied with it. But! There's no excuse to start slacking in my next semester.

It has been a while since I last baked.

And the outcome isn't that bad...

hohoho

Basic apple cinnamon muffins.

Not enough apple chunks and the cinnamon taste is overpowering

and Sean kept referring them as cakes.

So imma call them Cinnamon cupcakes!

I sneaked them into Sean's room when I went over for a visit.

He isn't a fan of cinnamon by the way (something I just learned about), but he finished all 3 of the "cakes" this morning. ^^

If you haven't noticed, I finally bought a muffin tray!

Albeit cheap (Rm2.90 only), it is just like those expensive Rm10plus trays. :D

On another note, I was feeling for a Western food dinner yesterday night so Sean and I tried out at a restaurant whose name I forgot ... and I doubt I'll be back there again.

The food was alright - but a tad pricey for me.

Seanie boy has something for the ketchup and chilli sauce heh.

And the complementary chocolate ice cream isn't going to buy me to be a regular there.

Sean, on the other hand, kena tipu by the ice cream already hahaha.

My 2 weeks of holiday are coming to an end. Surprisingly, I don't dread the new semester that much - only the waiting for results day part is apprehensive.

Alright. Gotta wash car/exercise/play guitar/do something else other than facing the laptop.

Hello morning!

There are two sides of me that I have - one being independent and also being taken care of.

And I find having a decent meal alone in a kopitiam gives me time to nourish the independent side of me.

This morning, I woke up late and everyone was already out and about with their things. I stumbled here and there for awhile before I finally dragged myself out for breakfast (actually my stomach grumbled too much until I can't stand any longer)

So I ordered my drink and food at the kopitiam my family goes to almost every morning- and the kakak who served me my spicy pan mee asked "Amoi hari ini satu orang saja ka??" in which I replied promptly "Bangun lewat ma.. hehe"

Other than being able to have some me time while I chowed down some spicy breakfast, I got to people-watch during my entire meal. And in that 30 minutes of munching down my food, I observed many things like ...

the family of 5 who cramped into one small round table in front of me

the lottery ticket uncle whom my dad bought ticket from loitering around

the enthusiastic claypot chicken rice aunty who were looking for customers

the mee hun kueh auntie who had a hard time explaining to an Indian customer

the creepy uncle who served me my drink earlier that came on too friendly to a lil big-eyed girl at the table next to mine

the multiple parkings done by the roadside that is so typical Malaysians.

the incessant honking when a car obstructed another from reversing out of a parking spot.

the familiar faces ...

and many more.

It was a good morning.

Today, I went shopping alone in Times Square while waiting for my sister

to get her hair done. You know, I'm alright with shopping alone provided

the salesgirls don't tail me wherever I go.

That.is.seriously.annoying.

Walked around aimlessly for an hour plus before I set down for lunch at OldTown.

Terrible asam laksa.. terrible wireless (couldn't connect for the entire meal). =.=|||

Anyway, I had a good shopping trip. LOL Like how

Sean puts it, "Aiyo, baby so independent. Go shopping alone"

Hhahaha. I still remember that time when we walked around Times Square

for hours and went back home empty handed. lol

So, my sister joined me for shopping not long after my lunch and

we both bought things for ourselves.

Never thought I'll buy something with lace.. but this feels so Gaga-ish :D

I think that when I have little time on hands, I seem to have so much freaking things to do out of a sudden.

Then when I do have spare time, I spent it by goyang-ing kaki while wondering what to do on Facebook. =.=|||

Prior to the end of my finals, I kept wasting my time on FB with god-knows-what lah. A few hours gone by just like that omg.

So, before my finals were over, I set a list of games I wanna play on FB once I'm done with all my papers.

83 comments because I got spammed kaokao that day.lol

Manatau, now that I have so much time to ~~waste~~ rest I lost my interest in all those games already =.=|||

On another note, I've moved into a new room 2 weeks ago. :D There are only 2 remaining people (including me) from my previous house in KL, so we had to find a new place to stay. Lucky enough, Fong (my housemate)'s coursemate has 2 single rooms to rent. Coicidentally, we need two rooms and the rent for each room is quite a bargain. Ahhhh, lucky us. ^^

So far so good. That room is bigger than the previous one - and better in other aspects as well except for one tiny problem that is the room tends to get kinda hot in the evening. And oh, parking is another problem too but shhHHh don't tell my dad. xD

Also I can wave hello to my coursemate - Irene - which is now my opposite-block-neighbour.AHHAHA. Erm...we did try to talk to each other from our balconies the other day hehe.

One good thing about renting a room in a condo is the freaaaking swimming pool :D

Sean and I went for swimming twice already and boy I love the pool. Although the water isn't that clean but heck, nothing beats not having to pay to swim unlike back in Klang.

And this boy enjoys tossing me around the pool. He would lift me up in the air and just toss me into the water. =,=|| Not to mention, he love to push me back into the water when I've already washed up.

Other than that, I've done nothing much since my finals are over.

But it;s a good thing. I need to rest my mind since it's been on kinda crazy mode for the past 2 weeks. Not that I'm confident with my results- in fact, I've been working harder compared to my previous semester yet I screwed up some subjects. AhHHHh!

Ohwell, I hope things turn out best for me. Till then ... I'm off to rest!
